Bar Turning

Shasta’s full-range of precision lathes and bar turners provides production capability unmatched by most independent converters.  Our flexible production system assures fast turn-around times to meet the most demanding delivery requirements.

Material sizes from ½ inch to 22 inches in diameter can be turned and polished to demanding tolerances.  Micro finishes of 62 RMS or better are attainable in one or more passes.

Bar Turning Equipment Specifications

• No. 10 Medart Bar Turner – 4-inch to 10-inch dia. x 360°.
• No. 6 Bar Peeler –2” to 6-1/4” dia. x 60” – 480” length.
• No. 3 Medart ‘B’ Bar Peeler – 1-1/2-inch to 3-inch dia. X 360°.
• No. 3 Bar Peeler – ½” to 2-3/4” dia. x 72” to 360” length.
• Hetran Rod and Wire Shaver – ¼” to ¾” dia.; Min/max removal per pass: 0.010” – 0.040”
• Stavely Lathe - 4" - 20" dia. x 204".
